Holding space as a bridge between energy and healing

MEET DENA
Certifed Reiki Master Teacher and Practitioner
I am a wife, mother and proud step-mother. I would like to tell you about how I became a Reiki master. I'm not sure if I found Reiki or if it found me. Just like many people, my life became a little overwhelming. I was in a job that was physically straining and knew I couldn't do it much longer. I had to work only part time or not at all. Amongst other stressors in my life I started having panic attacks. The doctors wanted to prescribe medication. I turned it down and knew there had to be a better way. My body was telling me something and I had to find out what. I was always into eating healthy and doing yoga for the most part and if that wasn't working I had to dive in deeper. So I started doing some research. That's when I found meditation. I found Dr. Joe Dispenza's Blessing of the Energy Centers Meditation. I started doing this meditation and I was surprised I could really feel the energy move in my body. I really liked the way it made me feel so I kept doing it. I haven't had a panic attack since. This seemed to be working. My curiosity wanted to know more so again I had to dig deeper and did more research on energy medicine. That's when I can across Reiki. I never had a Reiki session but I knew this was what I wanted and took my first class Usui/Holy Fire 1 & 2 Reiki Ryoho with a licensed Reiki teacher through the International Center for Reiki Training. That's where I actually had my first Reiki session experience. I remember being on table feeling relaxed and tingles in my body, when we were done I sat up and I had this big smile face I don't think I ever smiled that big and then I just burst into laughter. I felt so good, so free, so happy, like I just accomplished something so great. I could not stop laughing, tears were running down face. Needless to say I had the student who was working on me and my Reiki teacher laughing. It took me a minute to gather my composure. My Reiki teacher told me that that was an emotional response release. I felt so happy I knew right then and there I was going to become a Reiki master. 8 months later I become a Reiki Master.
I wish for everyone to be as happy as I was on that day! It is the best feeling in the world.
Everyone's experience is different but if my clients could feel even just a little piece of what I experienced that day then I did my job.
My journey with Reiki has taught me that true healing doesn’t come from outside—it arises when we feel safe enough to return to our own center. I see myself as a bridge, walking with you between the noise of daily life and the quiet strength within. In each session, I hold space for you to release what no longer serves, to reconnect with your natural flow of energy, and to rediscover the wholeness that has always been part of you. My role is not to fix or direct, but to offer presence, compassion, and the steady field where your own healing can unfold.”
